The global population has reached eight billion which has strained our policy formulation in managing relevant resources. This research is conducted to find out the organizational set up and legislative framework available for the elderly people of south Asia in their respective countries and in the region collectively.Methodology:Data is retrieved from extensive study of secondary resources available on elderly population’s national policies, laws acts and survey reports. The Constitution of all countries and universal declaration states that human rights should be entitled to every being without any discrimination of class, color, sex, gender, ethnicity and age.Data collection:Data collection illustrates that all the south Asian countries are providing means tested social assistance that is causing more strain on the economy with its inefficiency to entertain all the needy elderly of their respective countries. They are providing assistance to chronic poor and disaster hit people.Implications:The design should ensure transparency and resource management efficiently. Governance and allocation systems should be managed duly manually and telecommunication systems.
