Abstract: We sincerely thank the Editor of The American Statistician, Professor Minge Xie, for organizing this discussion. We are also grateful to our distinguished discussants, Professor Chuanhai Liu and Dr. Gul Inan, for their thoughtful and insightful comments on our survey. Their contributions illuminate the subject from two complementary vantage points: Professor Liu approaches the topic from a deep statistical-theoretical and philosophical foundation, while Dr. Inan focuses on practical, classroom-based deployment. Together, their comments enrich the discourse and help chart a productive path forward. We organize our rejoinder into two parts, responding to each discussant in turn, and conclude with a brief synthesis.
