The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, 2025, vol. 32, issue 3, 391-396
Abstract:
This symposium deals with general equilibrium models with rationing. Sylvie Rivot discusses the early work of Jean-Pascal Bénassy, in particular that which he developed in 1973 in his thesis. Romain Plassard presents the attempts of several French economists to estimate econometric models in which certain agents can be rationed, models which could have contributed to the formulation of macroeconomic policies. Rodolphe Dos Santos Ferreira reinterprets the Keynesian notion of involuntary unemployment using a model similar to those developed by Bénassy.
