Abstract:
The paper focuses on the long-term challenge of the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities and the role the ‘building back better’ (BBB) concept may/should play in this process. The authors indicate the potential of the BBB concept for rebuilding Ukraine and the role of international organizations (the UN and the European Union) in rebuilding Ukraine. Examples of actions already undertaken by these entities and programmes planned are outlined and examined. In the conclusions, the authors identify the value and usefulness of the BBB concept for reconstructing Ukrainian cities.
