Interregional Differences in R&D Activities—An Empirical Investigation
Michael Fritsch ()
European Planning Studies, 2000, vol. 8, issue 4, 409-427
Abstract:
In this contribution differences in the innovation activities of manufacturing enterprises in 11 European regions are analysed. A number of differences could be identified in the data even when controlling for the individual characteristics of the enterprises and their respective markets. These differences may, however, be primarily the result of factors at the national level and not of determinants that are region specific.
