Abstract:
Design of variables sampling plans based on the lifetime-performance index for the exponentially distributed hybrid censored data is described in this article. The exact distribution of the maximum likelihood estimator of the exponential lifetime parameter is used to construct the sampling plans. A simulation based algorithm is applied to compute the sampling plans. A comparative study with the existing methods in the literature is also carried out to validate the proposed method. Finally, one real-life data set is analyzed to demonstrate the applicability of the method in practice.
