Abstract: The rapid pace of urbanisation has resulted in challenges to the provision of civic infrastructure services. A number of systematic reviews have also been commissioned to understand the effectiveness of interventions carried out in different civic infrastructure sectors. This evidence summary synthesizes such reviews that have focused on the Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC). The water supply sector was prominent in these systematic reviews, followed by sanitation and electricity. Both access and quality outcomes have received equal attention of policy makers. In terms of interventions, physical infrastructure investment and urban planning interventions are seen to be the most widely studied areas.
