Abstract:
A seismic hazard and risk analysis is one of the requirements under the Dutch Mining Law when applying for a license for an activity in the deep subsurface. Current methods vary from qualitative to fully probabilistic methods reflecting the level of knowledge and expertise. This paper illustrates the methods used and their treatment of uncertainty.
