Abstract:
The strict limitations on UK public expenditure suggest a much stronger role for preventive services in the future. However, to do this, preventive services must be able to demonstrate good value for money in the use of public funds. This article identifies some research findings concerning value for money in preventive services and suggests lessons to be learned for the future.
