Public Money & Management, 2013, vol. 33, issue 1, 55-62
Abstract:
This article examines the Danish government's responses to recent financial crises. The author discusses the banking crisis which began in 2008 when the government took a series of measures to rescue banks; the economic crisis in 2009 which led the government to take economic recovery measures; and the fiscal crisis which led government to cut back on spending in 2010 and 2011. This article not only looks at the contents of the measures, but also especially at the political decision-making processes leading to those measures.
