Gender-responsive budgeting within the medium-term budgetary framework in Bangladesh

Md. Sarwar Morshed and Seunghoo Lim

Public Money & Management, 2023, vol. 43, issue 6, 586-589

Abstract: Gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) is an important tool for governments to establish gender equity. Successful implementation requires the active participation of officials, politicians, and civil society in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages of the budget. Motivated and skilled officials, strong representation of civil society, good data management, and gender-based auditing can bring about effective changes.
