Abstract: In this paper, we present new conditions for finite-time stability and stabilisation of nonlinear singular (or descriptor) time-varying switched systems with instantaneous impulses on time scales. We extend existing results to incorporate arbitrary time scales and provide sufficient conditions for stability and stabilisation using matrix inequalities that are easy to verify numerically by using time scales theory. The finite-time stability and stabilisation problem is addressed using the concepts of switched Lyapunov functions and state feedback controllers. Additionally, we explore the application of singular-switched neural networks on arbitrary time scales and discuss their potential uses. Several numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
