Abstract: On the occasion of the on-site investigation of a road traffic accident, there are gathered a series of clues and evidence that will contribute to the formation of a clear and uncontested image of the circumstances of the event. If these technical and scientific means of proof are obtained under the required security conditions, if the chain of custody works and the necessary quality control of the used techniques, then these means of proof are indisputable, and, in addition, this is the indispensable tool that the justice mechanism needs.
