Peculiarities of transformation processes in East Germany

Abstract: The mention is made of the process of socio-economic transformation of East German regions after reunification of Germany in 1990. The definition of the term «transformation» is given. Historical determinants and socio-economic components of transformation process in Germany are researched. Results of transformation of East Germany are analyzed.
