Social role of transport complex in the economy of the region

Abstract: The article deals with the sector approach and socio-economic approach to the formation and development of the transport complex. The attention is paid to the features of the socio-economic approach that revealed the social dimensions of transport sector and to the factors determining the impact of transport on the socio-economic development. These factors are characterized by indicators. Basing on analysis of indicators of impact of the transport sector on socio-economic development of the region is defined the role of transport in the economy of the territory.
