Value Estimator Models for Wetlands-Based Recreational Use Values

John Bergstrom and John R. Stoll

Land Economics, 1993, vol. 69, issue 2, 132-137

Abstract: Evaluation and implementation of policies affecting wetlands management may require measurement of the economic value of the policies to individuals and groups. A potentially powerful means for measuring changes in wetlands-based recreational values is the use of value estimator models. The general specification and potential applications of value estimator models for wetlands-based recreational use values are discussed in this paper. Future research needs are also identified.
