Agribusiness marketing research in a transition world economy

Thomas Sporleder ()

Agribusiness, 1986, vol. 2, issue 4, 431-442

Abstract: Markets and the agricultural delivery system are examined in terms of the emerging areas of biotechnology and international competitiveness. These areas represent significant new researchable topics of importance to agribusiness. A second general aspect of agribusiness marketing research identified is understanding vertical linkages within the delivery system, especially the role of cash markets and the performance of various risk management strategies. Implications are drawn for priority research in agribusiness marketing.
