Abstract:
The use of information as a strategic resource is defined and an empirical agribusiness illustration provided. Results of extensive interviews with agribusiness managers indicate the potential for climate information to create positional advantages within the seed corn industry. As means for ex ante evaluation of an-information-based strategic resource, the process of combining decision experiments and simulation is proposed and demonstrated.
