Abstract:
Business researchers have long argued that a gap exists between the management assistance needs of small businesses and the information and services being provided. Management of small businesses in the food and kindred products industry in Wyoming were surveyed to identify impediments of management assistance information|services and were asked to rank their management assistance needs. A Chi-square test was employed to determine whether significant relationships exist between the impediments identified and suggested management assistance needs. Policy and program opportunities for management assistance agencies, based upon the data, are discussed.
