When once is not enough: accounting for CO 2 recycling in EOR operations
Philip M. Marston
Greenhouse Gases: Science and Technology, 2011, vol. 1, issue 4, 320-323
Abstract:
Funding for carbon capture and storage (CCS) demonstration projects is currently under lots of pressure. Phillip Marston puts forward the case that CO 2 ‐based enhanced oil recovery (EOR) offers a potential solution. To really make this work for captured anthropogenic CO 2 , we need to come up with an accepted accounting protocol for dealing with recycling of CO 2 during EOR.
