Greenhouse Gases: Science and Technology, 2012, vol. 2, issue 6, 399-401

Abstract: The SBC Energy Institute, a non‐profit organization founded in 2011 as an initiative of Schlumberger Business Consulting (SBC), has produced what is the first in a series of studies looking at carbon capture and storage (CCS). The first report, Leading the Energy Transition: Bringing Carbon Capture and Storage to Market, highlights the status of current technologies, analyzes the situation of demonstration and deployment projects, and gives perspectives on the future of CCS projects. The CCS Insight team at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, led by Mark Taylor , was instrumental in providing data and reviewing the report. Taylor discusses some of the report's main findings.
