Abstract:
We present the application of a high speed analog neural network chip of the MESA Research Institute in the first level RZ-Trigger of the H1-Experiment at HERA. Using this neural network chip with a settling time of about 50 ns we can reach a first level trigger decision within the HERA bunch-chrossing time of 96 ns.
