Abstract:
In this article we will expose a connection between critical values of percolation and Ising model, i.e., the percolation thresholdpc, and the critical temperatureTcand energyEc, respectively, by the approximation$P_c\approx \frac{1}{2} (1 -2E_c /kNJ) (1 -e^{-2J /k_B T_c})$. For the two-dimensional square lattice even the identity holds. For higher dimensions — up tod = 7— and other lattice types we find remarkably small differences from one to five percent.
