Abstract: We apply the lattice-gas method to study droplet behavior. The ascending velocity and deformation of a drop under buoyancy are numerically analyzed. We develop an algorithm to adjust surface tension by changing collision rules, and deformation of a droplet is calculated with different surface tensions. The deformation of a drop driven by the pressure gradient under gravity is also investigated.
