Abstract: The bifurcated, ordered Cayley tree with disorder and frustration as a model for relaxing granular media is examined numerically. Surprisingly, only exponential time dependencies are found despite frustration. Extensions to bidirectional models are discussed extensively and qualitatively new behavior is detected.
