Abstract:
The evolution of the plasma channel in laser-produced plasma is numerically simulated on the basis of nonlinear coupling equations in the non-static limit case. The results show that the ponderomotive force of the highly intense laser field is responsible for the formation of the channel due to the collapse of the transverse wave near the critical surface. At the same time, a toroidal low-frequency magnetic field of about 1.7 MG in the channel is induced. These results are consistent with the observed results.
