Abstract: The axisymmetric electrokinetic flows are of great importance in Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS). In this paper, the Nernst–Planck (NP) model under the cylindrical coordinate system is used to describe the axisymmetric electrokinetic flows. Furthermore, a coupled lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is proposed to solve the axisymmetric NP model. To validate the capacity of the proposed coupled LBM, the axisymmetric electrokinetic flows in circular tubes and annular ducts are numerically studied. The numerical results agree well with the reported numerical data.
