Abstract: The changes in the context in which business organizations operate can determine a change in the roles and responsibilities that business need to face. In nowadays economic environment, the motivation for obtaining and maximizing profit is recognized as being vital and more difficult cu attain as competition increases, but at the same time business organizations are expected to be responsible toward the resources they attract and use, in a pursuit for both profit and an improvement of their relationships with stakeholders. The aim of this paper is to present a new perspective on implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs from a strategic point of view. For achieving that we have begin by presenting a short argumentation for the need of a strategic approach of CSR initiatives and a review of some of the most important strategic aspects that have marked the evolution of the CSR concept over the past decades. As our contribution, we propose a new model for the actual implementation of a CSR program that presents in a systemized manner a set of principles for successfully implementing a corporate program of this kind in a strategic approach. The proposed implementation plan underlines the logical scheme of the entire process and it is designed to be a useful managerial tool.
