Abstract: Die entscheidenden Grundlagen für die autozentrierte deutsche Verkehrspolitik wurden im Nationalsozialismus gelegt. Trotz völlig geänderter Umstände setzt sich die Bevorzugung des Autos bis heute fort. Dies begrenzt auch den Gestaltungsspielraum auf kommunaler Ebene.
