Abstract: This article describes an approach that provides the calculation of the amount of information in the genes about the characteristics or properties of different grape cultivars. A specific phenotypic property is considered as a noisy genetic text that includes both genetic information about the true phenotypic property (pure signal). For this purpose, automated system-cognitive analysis (ASK-analysis) and its software tools – the intelligent Eidos system are used. A numerical example based on real data is presented, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
