Abstract:
Forest harvesting is an important industrial and social task. However, this process is associated with significant transportation difficulties. This leads to an increase in the number of failure cases. The purpose of this article is to improve the logging road efficiency by reducing the intensity of rutting. We have applied a set of methods, including mathematical modeling as a basic one. As a result, we describe the main characteristics that should be taken into account when designing the timber-hauling vehicles.
