The Robinson-Patman Act: Federal Regulation of Price Differences
Richard Posner
in Books from American Enterprise Institute
Abstract:
“The Robinson-Patman Act: Federal Regulation of Price Differences†by Richard A. Posner examines the statute enacted 40 years ago to curb anticompetitive price discrimination. The author concludes that the act serves no function that could not be better performed in its absence, and indeed that it has never been more than a nonsolution to the problems it supposedly addresses.
