Abstract:
“Poverty and the Minimum Wage,†by Donald O. Parsons, published in 1980, assesses the minimum wage as a poverty program. The author argues that the minimum wage is largely a reallocation among low-wage demographic groups: adult females as a group are the beneficiaries, and teenagers of both sexes are the principal losers
