Abstract:
This chapter offers some reflections by way of conclusion. Since the publication of TCLER it seems reasonable to conclude that the challenges faced by Labour Law are greater than ever and the environmental factors further suggest that the landscape has become more complex. More effective regulatory mechanisms are called for and, for a variety of reasons, we would have wished to look towards a revitalisation of collective bargaining as a key element in this regard. However, we do not view that stance as other than aspirational and, if worker protection is to be furthered we must look to the legislature in all three jurisdictions.
