Considering international contexts in societal impact evaluation and SSH: a perspective from EASSH

Gabi Lombardo

Chapter 5 in Accountability in Academic Life, 2023, pp 60-65 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: In this chapter, Gabi Lombardo, as Director of the European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH), offers a response to the initial writing prompts which are addressed in the country chapters, from a wider European perspective. This chapter, therefore, creates space for international connections and community-building around SSH research. It also creates an opportunity to consider current and future interventions in societal impact evaluation from a practical point of view, based on first-hand experience of working with policymakers at a European level.
