Chapter 8 in Rethinking Economics Education, 2025, pp 126-141 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter explores miscellaneous topics that do not fit neatly into a single component of the book's structure or topics that needed to be highlighted. It discusses, for example, the potential of artificial intelligence to transform learning outcomes, assessment, and pedagogy, emphasizing the importance of equitable access. Additional topics include the role of high schools and community colleges in economics education, online learning, how to have difficult conversations, and the issue of student engagement. Using RBG and backwards design, the chapter connects these themes to broader goals in economics education.
