Chapter 13 in Research Handbook on Global Diversity Management, 2025, pp 175-190 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Overall, this chapter offers valuable insights into the psychology of Global Diversity Management. It underscores the importance of understanding and addressing the challenges posed by biological, sociocultural, and cognitive differences, as well as the impact of stereotypes and social categorization. The chapter highlights how these challenges can be navigated using strategies such as recategorization and the common in-group identity model, which promote inclusivity and cohesion within diverse organizations operating in a globalised world.
