Abstract:

Data access and scarcity remain major contributors to the comparatively slow development and uptake of data analysis in the legal domain. The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) project outlined here has been designed to test state-of-the-art technologies for crowdsourcing knowledge extraction from legal documents to provide qualitative and quantitative analyses of trends in EWC agreements. The annotation framework is integrated into an upgraded data collection system, which enables automated updating of the ETUI EWC-database.
