Chapter 1 in Flipping the Classroom with Experiential and Community-Engaged Learning in Business, 2025, pp 2-17 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
As a pedagogical tool in higher education, flipped learning allows instructors to design and implement learning activities that increase students’ cognitive engagement. This chapter proposes blending learning frameworks to create a rich framework that emphasizes the higher cognitive engagement levels of construction and interaction and how active learning environments cultivated in class and through experiential learning can aid in the development of conceptual understanding.
