Abstract:
Jarige Job (birthday kid) is a foundation located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The organization helps children overcome social exclusion and feelings of isolation surrounding their birthdays due to poverty. Jarige Job provide birthday boxes to these kids’ parents, so they have the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays in the traditional Dutch way. During the Covid-19 crisis Jarige Job experienced several challenges which were overcome by shifts in strategy. Currently, Jarige Job is doing better than ever, showing the resilience of the foundation.
