Abstract: ALUT - The National Association for Children and Adults with Autism operates in Israel to provide help, treatment, supervision, and education to this population. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis, the organization encountered great difficulty in continuing to provide services in education, employment, and rehabilitative daycare centers. As a result, patients and their families were significantly affected. The difficulties were caused by a policy of lockdowns and restrictions on movement in the area, the obligation to isolate those diagnosed with the disease, long waits for repeated tests, the obligation to wear a mask, and other restrictions. Therefore, even during the first wave of the pandemic, the organization acted decisively to explain to government ministries the difficulty faced by people with disabilities from the restrictions and lockdowns, and to demand changes and adjustments in the emergency regulations for this population.
