Abstract:
Our Lady of the Wayside (OLW) is a nonprofit social service organization in Cleveland, Ohio, which provides residential care to more than 400 individuals with developmental disabilities. During the 2020-2021 pandemic it lost two-thirds of its revenue as its transportation and day programming services were required to shut down. In response, OLW reconfigured its staffing, raised additional funding and consolidated some of its operations. In 2023 OLW faced increasing staffing costs which led it to drain its reserve funds, while engaging in new funding and programming initiatives to stabilize and reposition itself for 2024.
