Abstract: This chapter examines the relationship between ethical and critical analysis in work and organizational psychology. Arguing that ethics is ubiquitous but often implicit in critical perspectives, it is also argued that critique offers ethical analysis of important elements that distinguish critical perspectives from the more common psychology of ethics. Discussing ethics and critique together provides a link between the normativity of ethical theory with the emancipatory and political reflexivity of critical theory. While critique and ethics cannot be reduced to one another, they remain in an important dialogue. The chapter ends by calling for more explicit reflection on the ways in which critical and ethical perspectives in work and organizational psychology can reinforce each other.
