Abstract:
This entry focuses on neuroscientific evidence regarding recruitment and selection practices, as well as the cognitive and emotional processes that occur during interviews. It also investigates neurological and psychological mechanisms, including the role of unconscious bias in decision-making, and the application of neuroscientific information systems to facilitate the development of tools that support employee recruitment and assessment. Relevant studies consider both face-to-face and remote computer-mediated contexts, including virtual reality simulations, AI-based video interviews, and gamified environments. This integration of neuroscience into organizational research does not replace traditional social science approaches but rather enhances them.
