Abstract:
Neuroscience provides critical insights into the biological foundations of cognition and behaviour. Common methods used include electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These techniques have helped identify key brain regions involved in cognitive functions like the frontal lobe, which is related to executive functioning and is linked to decision-making and leadership. EEG-based neurofeedback shows convergent benefits for attention, emotion regulation, and decision-making, suggesting potential benefits for leadership training. However, further research is needed to address limitations, such as small samples, variable analyses, and oversimplified brain mapping.
