Abstract:
Understanding the presence of common elements in the cyclical patterns of the outputs from the Mexican and the US economies, since they are close neighbors and trading partners, and distinguishing the factors affecting these patterns is, with no doubt, a relevant issue of research in empirical macroeconomics. It is important to point out that After NAFTA, there was a high correlation of an increasing maquiladora industry in Mexico the US output.
