Abstract: Starting from the idea of recognizing a civil status of each person and from the existence, at the same time, of the “right to nationality” of each individual (as a political status), the purpose of this paper is to highlight some of the most important aspects of these institutions. The approach is not easy, as long as we are in different fields: that of private international law and public law – national and international. (The author)
