Abstract:
My article desires to capture some aspects having as target school leaders’ competencies in management knowing that in the last years Romanian educational system has been through a period of legal changes. I have started my thesis by defining the term management, respectively that of school management which can be exemplified in three ways: educational system management, school system management and classroom management. The aim was to emphasize the role of an educational manager, his/her functions, his/ her needed competencies and last but not the least his/ her leading skills. Managers can be incompetent, good or very good but their activity depends on the existence and application of a clear educational law and also, elaborating a long term strategy of educational quality.
