Abstract: Abstract A number of the dimensions occurring in talent management systems relate to the development of talent. These would take precedence in the developmental perspective of talent management, and the other dimensions would become allied to these, while their relative weight varies within the other strategic perspectives. The competitive perspective, for example, may weight development very highly if development is valued by the workforce as it gives them an edge over their competition. M&G Fund Management is a good example where this is the case as the investment banking business is very competitive, very cut-throat, and low on loyalty generally. Fund managers go where they are most appreciated.
