A chapter in People Management in Turbulent Times, 2009, pp 153-155 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract To the amateur outsider, history often appears to operate on dialectical principles: thesis, antithesis, synthesis. First we are told, and get used to, the story of the past. There are heroes and villains, causes and consequences, revolutionaries and lawmakers. We make sense of who we are through historical stories that are often heavily censored.
